Status: School is going decently. full-time student at 4 classes/12 credits with a little work on the side. With any luck I'll have my degree by the holidays, taking it a little more seriously after being relaxed for so long. Enjoying the presence of new roommates, it just works and I'm feeling a lot less stressed as a result. Been taping into my creative side lately and as a result have nerdy pictures to show for it. ( Geeky stuff! )Also might try my hand at making one of these. www.wolftronix.com/tail/index.html

But seriously, I'm older by another year, nooo~ stop at 21, I'd like to get off the aging bus after I reach the legal age to drink. But who wouldn't? So now if I loose an appendage you can count the 23 rings across the surface or something like that. Moose, thanks again for the early gift, will be drinking that later today! Spiderwing, thanks for putting up with me again, oh and food! I'll have to stop by that place again sometime. Wolfy, I don't even have a response to that note yet, maybe after I get drunk. What does one do on their birthday? Hmm, after I wake I guess I'll find out! (I so might be helping a friend assemble a garage of all things, haha.)

-does _NOT_ play nice with vegetables. Eg, carrots and peas :[ yea grocery-store run is soon. On the plus side I came to my senses before pouring spice sauce on it. A cook I do not make. Especially on no sleep. I'm going to bear with this monstrosity to the culinary arts and eat it anyways. On the chipper side of things I may have a new job soon: Field technician for Motorola radio repairs. Way better than manufacturing technician imo, as I've come to find its really boring unless a decent talkative co-worker is around and able to be nearby, rare. I need to be out with people more else it just seems to reinforce my random hermiting behavior. +'s for being higher pay and right down the street. "What do you mean I don't have to spend half my paycheck just driving to work?" Exaggerated, but still gas prices are not something I'm enjoying with ye olde SUV. Sadly a blue freaking prius would suit me :|! (Start around 5:00 if your impatient~)

Because akerin might beat me up if I don't do it! "Leave a comment and I will a) tell you why I friended you, b) associate you with something - fandom, a song, a colour, a photo, etc., c) tell you something I like about you, d) tell you a memory I have of you, e) ask something I've always wanted to know about you, f) tell you my favorite user pic of yours, g) in return, you must post this in your LJ. "
That word just makes me laugh but my instructor used it in an e-mail. So today part of one of my projects involved a speech about what we've been working on. I've had about 2 hours of sleep. The Director of Technology for the campus as well as the Dean for the Technology division both showed as well as some mystery 3rd person just to hear our speech/demo on RFID(Radio frequency identification) passive(they contain no batteries but transmit data) tags, ask us some questions at the end, then left once we were done. God I was nervous. I wish I had taken a picture of it, but soon enough its probably going to be on display in the technology divisions show-window or so I hear, Kinda cool. I never see them putting anything new in it. We did try darn hard to give it some sort of presentation factor. *insert nerdspeak* You swipe an RFID card and upon successful data read opens a door via servo motor with PWM then waits until the card is no longer in reading distance for 5 seconds before closing, all the while skimming off RFID tag values over an RS232 cable at a standard 9600baud so long as it is readable. Hey they liked it :D */end nerdspeak* in other words its the barbie fun-house of the future made from pine and painted :s I really should go to sleep now... eh nah I'm going to keep watching "Ergo Proxy" until I finish it. nap. maybe get boozed up with the classmates I did the project with or just draw.
Tue, Apr. 29th, 2008, 12:57 am Quiet up there!
Uggg my downstairs neighbors apparently can hear the Rockband drums through the floor?! D: at least it was just before 12 and not 1AM or something...
But needless to say 'practice' (if it even qualifies as that) with classmates was cut short.
And here come finals... oops i'm not ready this semester. It sort of creeped up on me.
Oh and I got a haircut, its been almost a year since I've had one of those!
and... I've.. run out of interesting conversation now, kthxbai~ Tue, Apr. 22nd, 2008, 07:54 pm
Everyone else seems to be doing one of these so why not. Though my Neuroticism score makes me embarrassed to post it :'D I took the long version of the test: My Personality| | | Neuroticism | | Extraversion | | Openness to Experience | | Agreeableness | | Conscientiousness | |
| You rarely get angry and it takes a lot to make you angry, however you often resist any cravings or urges that you have, but sometimes you give in. You tend not to talk much and prefer to let others control the activities of groups. Generally you are not considered to be an emotional person, however you are aware of and in touch with your emotions. You dislike confrontations and are perfectly willing to compromise or to deny your own needs in order to get along with others, however there are times when you believe that a certain amount of deception in social relationships is necessary, however you are mostly candid, frank and sincere. People find it moderately easy to relate to you. You take your time when making decisions and will deliberate on all the possible consequences and alternatives.

I don't understand how I keep winning at our random drunken-bowling matches. akerin you were going to beat me I still say! tug_the_dragon I blame your drunken-birthday-math. Oh yes I did. post those scores up later, as well as the silly drawings halfworldremedy and neko_chan069 slapped onto it. Oh well I defended my turf, so we're not a flock/pack/herd/clusterfuck or whatever :> THE MOB IS HERE TO STAY (until next bowling event that is) The weather is beautiful outside, so now I'mmmm..... going to go resume homework, drat! (and procrastinate around online as per usual) So, until next time.... *A mob is what Australians usually refer to a group of animals as.
Fri, Mar. 21st, 2008, 12:04 pm Dear God:
Yesterday it was a wonderful 40+ degrees. Its Spring. Spring should be nice and warm. We were heading in the right direction. But today you made it snow and the temperatures plummet.
-again-
Cut it out already. You obviously didn't get the memo about the new TPS coversheets or the rising temperatures. We're severely dissatisfied with your lack of enthusiasm and feel a re-evaluation of your job status is in order.
Like demote you to Jack-Frost :[

Just back from my trip up north to Fond du lac and Stevens point. Was fun to take an extended stay away from Madison again and clear my head. Did I miss anything new?
P.S. Servalsatyr - that letter is in the mail, terribly sorry for the delay! Sun, Dec. 23rd, 2007, 06:09 pm moar snow
Ah jeeze I seem to be horrible at writing journals lately. I've completely missed writing one after MFF for a full month, so anyways thanks to all of you I got to see there. Lucky, Bauske, Akie, Tug, Glock, Nes, Billy, Seiko, Slade, Thumbz, Grey, Gideon, Duncan, Kotaki (and all of you with him).. okay I don't think I'm going to keep trying to name every single one but you all helped me have yet another wonderful con experience so I'm sure to come back for more!
Another semester of classes out of the way I find myself lurking around after my flight was canceled today, when planning trips from here on out I'm going to start looking at the weather forecast as far as I can. Thus far this is the first flight I've been scheduled on that was actually canceled instead of delayed. go figure this would happen a few days after some jerk decided to break out my truck window and steal my stereo. (yay for insurance!... if they cover it all...)
All that aside I hope everyone's in good holiday spirits, and despite this small quarry of problems that recently arose, I know I am! :D Tue, Feb. 20th, 2007, 06:17 pm YA RLY
So I hit up my first con this year, results? I met more furries than I could shake a stick at. Made new friends, and revisited some old ones. My first day consisted of arriving around 4pm then walking in the doors. no more than 3.2 seconds into the con and I get startled by something large, fuzzy, and apparently moving in my general direction: A FURSUIT! After I finished spazing I realized they were everywhere, I was surrounded and there was no dicerable path of escape, not that I really needed one anyways, so sally-forth and to the hotel room! I really had a great time with the guys I roomed with and can't wait to attend future cons with them now. no 'drama', no arguments, just plain fun! I snagged a few badges, Thanks fishy_boner, likeshine, and donryuWith all of the constant art and bright colors all around me I even managed to draw some myself, and possibly even have some future plans there <insert reminder to self here> The last day of the con I decided not to sleep (why bother when there was a 14+ hour drive waiting for me at 10am?) so I wandered the hotel, not really expecting to find much, instead I found Kami, Bonk, MaxBlack and Gunmouth all downstairs finishing commisions so I sat nearby and talked a little(though rather shyly), even got some art advice from Max which I found really encouraging! I can't thank all you guys enough for helping me have such an enjoyable first con going. =3 so Kudos to all you guys: Kotaki, Fishy Boner, Swiftfox, Grey, Chorca, Loki, Arctic, Digeri, and all of your friends I happened to meet! ---------------------------------------- -- After the con I came home and found I have a part time job waiting and a classmate of mine who applied was also accepted! On the way to class today I found $10 on the ground and not a soul in site to ask if it might be theirs o_o suhhhwwweeeet~ I happened to be out of pens so i bought a pack. I had about $2.35 left, not enough for our '2 pizzas and a drink special' for 3.00, but 2.25 is good for a pizza and a drink, they gave me 2 slices anyways. "oh they're pretty small slices" she said, they all look the same size to me, but I wasn't about to convince her otherwise! I feel very happy right now. And thus ends my weekend-type report. (Its too early for the stairs jokes)
Tue, Feb. 13th, 2007, 03:33 pm New Rhythm
Lately I've been noticing my sleeping pattern slipping back to what it used to be. ie. going to bed too late then failing to wake up for class. Delimapomegranate:
Problem: My Alarm is so ungodly annoying my brain literally responds by just shutting it out (for a full hour) then I wake as soon as -it- shuts off, its so strange.
Solution: From this day forward winamp will blast me awake with SlagsmÄlsklubben music. "Windows Scheduled tasks" Micro$oft finally kept something right in there that I have a use for.
Pros: It worked today Cons: I better remember to keep my speakers on and volumed up enough for this to be useful. Additional thoughts: I need to stop reading newegg reviews needlessly.
I'll be attending FWA this year, first con.
I had a job interview today. Electronic cable assembly: Intriguing at least, and it would be a lovely skill to list for future jobs in the electronics field of work.
yes I bold things needlessly but there is a point.
Mon, Dec. 25th, 2006, 02:54 am A cozy place
I hope everyone is having a happy or at least warm holiday thus-far, though it does feel a bit awry to have christmas without that white power sticking to the ground. HEY LETS MOVE THE HOLIDAY FURTHER BACK! sign my petition form now and recieve 3+ months of pestering telemarketers absolutely free of charge! But actually I'm enjoying myself and am all curled up under the covers leaned over mylaptop. Its already christmas by the clock but for me it doesn't start until I wake up again and gather with my family in the living-room, exchange gifts with them and see if my tip-offs on presents were accurate or not. I'll just sit and hope until then ^^ One last thing that caught my eye these pase few days: May everyone be in good spirits.
With the week winding down and everyone heading off to MFF I thought I would do another entry. As far as I can tell everyone else who reads this is either gone to MFF or too far away to come but me and most likely slade_doobiedog will be upholding the madison coffee meet while the troops are out on vacation. In other news I got my tire repaired, Fleet farm was absolutely no help with this. Busy on Saturday and said try again tomorrow, so I did. They informed me on sunday they only had two people working and i should call back at 4:30, so I did.... nope they were overbooked. Come monday I find there is a service station about 1 mile from my house (Phillips 66) and they patched me for $20. VERY REASONABLE. Fleet farm, you lose my business whenever I have auto trouble again. I also learned 3 valuable things: temporary flat fixers in a can = extra $20 for them to remove it safely. In the winter even if you don't wreck. You will probably run over the wreckage of those who did. Have a reliable spare and check it when you check your other tires, seriously you don't know when it may become your temp. replacement. Don't: Feed the !@#$*^% seagulls. Do:
I went to coffee this week, the gathering was smaller because of this blasted weather, the hot cocoa was delicious, and i swear i only finished about 4 math problems before people arrived, I got a small sketch done (which was nice because i've been on an art block for about a month now), Jim added his own 'unique' touches to it afterwards. I probably can't post it on LJ now. After getting home through the treacherous slush I hopped out and headed inside... but wait i heard a faint hiss noise, what could it be? at first i just assumed maybe snow falling on something hot and sizzling... oh wait the engine is in the front of the vehicle, but this was in the back... ah crap i ran over something sharp and popped it. the holes about an inch long and on the thick middle area. Now its jacked up to avoid tire-damage and i'll try getting the spare on it tomorrow, hopefully the original fixed and back on afterwards. Its not helping much that tomorrow is a -very- busy day already, tire repair was a bit of an unplanned addition. Would anyone feel like stopping by? I was told by my parentals not to change it alone because of hazards and accidents, if not i'll go it alone cautiously or just call a tow or something of the sort. I'll be awake around 9 or 10'ish.
I turned 21 today, was out all night with friends and making some new ones. I woke up with a slight hangover, buhhhhh... everyone have a good day :D
I keep giving my poor journal the silent treatment, ah well. Chances are it would be boringly repetitive if I listed my progress of moving as a statistical anomaly every time. But basically i'm moved in now, family came yesterday and we've been spending quality time together since. Tomorrow I plan to ditch my afternoon classes to roadtrip me and my sis to Chicago! Then I gotta say g'bye and put her on a plane to Abu Dhabi. Mean-while the rest of my family, being aunt and uncle, ferry across Lake Michigan, then go up to Canada from Illinois. P.S. My birthday is this Thursday(28th) and I have nothing planned yet :D I might just lay-low and hang out with people over the weekend, who knows.
Well this weekend certainly Warrants a new entry from me. Noah's Ark outing was great fun for me. It helped me get outside, meet new people, and get a tan!(more on the tan latter though) I drove up with akerin for the sake of conserving gas and the use of AC (A wise move indeed given the relative humidity and the effects of chlorine in ones hair later that day). After a quick run to good ole faithful Wally-world for sunblock we met up with the Groat family hakeber krag_carbine and a mass of furs at the front gates. All of which slowly being funneled into the park like cattle and paying their $25 dues. Once inside we scattered like dandelion seeds to the wind, most clustering off in groups of 2, 3, or 4. Myself and Akie forming one of the smaller ones, we set off to get a few early goes at the amusements before lines got too long, Black Anaconda being one of them 35minutes vs. 1hour long lines in the slowly rising heat. The wave pool becoming our body's saviors many a time as the heat threatened to turn us into raisins and lobsters. Another coating of sunblock and a few extra amusements later we found ourselves intermingled with the main group. as if some cosmic force pulled us together into a giant fur-pile. Then the real amusements started, Soaked lifeguards who have apparently yet to see such a force shoot down "Point of No Return", Burly but girly black men refusing to go down it until coaxed by the furs, Womens tops becoming a bit *ahem* unpresentable due to the violent force of water and inertia (Sting Ray), A woman getting knocked unconscious inside the wavepool (how? i will never know, but I hope shes okay now) Flash Flood: That was one of the funniest things i have seen in a good while, not only did we hit the top of a sign overhanging an alternate entrance. BUT we got some bystandards and put out their cigarettes much to their gawking and surprise. The Cookout went great as well, even more people attending that it seemed. It was nice getting to settle down and unwind, telling the others of the days accomplisments or just passing out against a picnic bench for some quick sleep. Frisbee anyone? Lots of furs I knew there: akerin, fishy_boner, borderpilot, slade_doobiedog, evil_dwagon, tailstalker + Fox. And in closing let me remind you if your going to use sunblock make sure you get all the areas the sun can reach, feet included. I now have a reason that there is a hop in my step aside from the kangarooish nature. Oh, and i'm moving to Madison soon. MATC finally accepted me!
Wed, Jul. 26th, 2006, 02:57 am
Ohoho~ Journal, how I have been abusing the. Last few weeks:I've just been staying home the past few weekends to give myself some breathing room from others and do some projects, therefor not really having too much a need or subject to write a journal about. However, that time is over now. Time to toil over meaningless decisions, have repairs done to my truck, etc.. Last week:My parents drove up from Arkansas to see lil ol' me this Thursday - Sunday, since its not so easy for me to go there with limited vacation time from work (16 hours left from my initial 2 weeks i was given at the start of the year), so I get to relax with them and my best friend since grade school for a few days. They left sunday and its back to work again, chop! chop! Yesterday:This Monday I ventured into Madison and wandered myself to the MATC Troux campus (wow that was easier to find than I imagined), got my compass placement tests done and i'm happy where i placed except for the essay which i quite literally didn't care for or have the focus to do, but i'll go back and redo that on a day where my sleep pattern isn't so screwed up. Scored into college Algebra. After I redo the essay as a single test and won't have to bother with the math or other parts I'll score into college English as well. Agenda:1. Steal underpants 2. ??? 3. Profit! 4. Parental unit visitation and celebration5. Get accepted into MATC *crosses fingers* 6. Finish art projects porn!7. Noah's Ark Water park on Sat. 29th -I'll most likely be around madison the following day
